Jess VanderWier

Registered Psychotherapist

Jessica is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and the founder of Raising Families Therapy. With extensive experience in Attachment, Children’s Mental Health, Play Therapy, Birth Trauma, Childhood Trauma, Complex Behaviours, and more, Jessica passionately supports parents and children in her practice.

She incorporates modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy, and Perinatal Mental Health into her sessions.

Jessica holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, postgraduate coursework in Behavioural Science from Florida Institute of Technology, and advanced training in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International.

Sam Allison

Registered Psychotherapist

Sam is a Registered Psychotherapist who works with individuals, couples, and families virtually across Ontario. With over 5 years of experience supporting individuals and working in marginalized communities, Sam incorporates modalities such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) into his sessions. He holds a Masters of Divinity in Counselling from Tyndale University and is a Certified Anger Management Specialist and a Certified Domestic Violence Specialist.

Marijka Lorn

Registered Social Worker

Marijka is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) who collaboratively works with individuals, couples, and families. With over 4 years of experience in social services, Marijka has a special interest in mental health and trauma. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and works from a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, creating a warm and welcoming space for clients to express their needs and goals.

Kaitlyn Tersigni

Registered Social Worker

Kate is an exceptionally trained and client-focused Therapist with several years of experience working with culturally diverse client populations across the lifespan. She works from a trauma-informed attachment-based lens, guided by therapeutic modalities such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). Kate holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Windsor, a Degree in Adult Development from the University of Guelph, and a designation as a Recreation Therapist (R/TRO) from Georgian College.

Elisabeth Aerts-Ives

Registered Social Worker

Beth is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) who compassionately supports individuals and families in her counselling practice. With a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and five years of experience providing counselling and support in Guelph and Toronto, Beth incorporates modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focussed Family Therapy (EFFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Strength-Based therapy models into her sessions.

Brooklyn Marx

Registered Psychotherapist

Brooklyn is a disabled Registered Psychotherapist who practices with individuals and families virtually across Ontario and locally in Guelph. With over five years of experience in the mental health field, supporting diverse and marginalized communities, Brooklyn takes a client-centred, intersectional, and identity-affirming approach to meet unique needs and experiences. She incorporates modalities such as Narrative, Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), and Mindfulness-Based (MBCT) into her sessions. Brooklyn holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
